Summer Camp Jobs at Camp Shaw

Camp Shaw is a place for everyone to shine! Working here gives staff a chance to be in nature and unplug, be silly and adventurous, and share their talents with campers and other staff. The long and hot days are worth the rewarding experience of changing campers’ lives. 

Each year we look for the following seasonal positions:

Cabin Counselors

Program Area Directors

Head Counselors

– Program Director

– Lifeguards

– Maintenance & Grounds Keeping

– Cooks & Kitchen Staff

– Camp Nurse (RN)

In order to apply for a summer staff role, applicants must be at least 18 years of age by the first week of camp. If you are 16 or 17 and want to be involved with camp, we encourage you to enroll in our CIT Program! 17 year olds may also apply as kitchen staff if you are looking for an employment opportunity for this summer.

We are happy to work with our staff to tailor their summer employment to meet internship criteria. Read about what some of our staff members have done for internships here.

Applications:

If you have not previously applied for a position at Camp Shaw, you will need to create an online account. (You can also use your parent’s account if you were previously a camper/CIT.) Please select the “Guardian” role when setting up your account. Once you have completed the application, select “Proceed to checkout” and “Complete Order”.  PLEASE make sure to complete your reservation (no payment will be required.) Note that three reference requests will be created as part of the application process. We will need to hear back from at least 2 of your 3 references to proceed with an interview.
