From Northwest

  • I-55 South to North River Road exit (Exit 241).
  • Turn left at end of ramp.
  • Go to Rt. 53 (3 miles) and turn right (can’t miss it, it is at a stop light and you have to go left or right).
  • At 2nd traffic light (after speed limit slows, in downtown Wilmington), turn left onto Hwy 102.
  • Go 10 miles to 6000W Rd. turn left – we are about a mile past the four-way stop.
  • Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see is the first entrance on the right.

From Southwest

  • Hwy 17 east from Dwight. Go 25 miles.
  • Turn left on Warner Bridge Rd. , cross river.
  • Turn right on Hwy 102. Go 1 mile.
  • Turn left onto 6000W Rd.
  • Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see is the first entrance on right.

From Chicago

  • Take I-57 south.
  • Take Manteno exit #322 turn right at end of ramp.
  • Go 7 miles to 6000W Rd. turn left.
  • Go 2 ½ miles to camp entrance on left. If you reach Hwy 102 you have gone too far.

From Urbana

  • Take I-57 north.
  • Take Manteno exit #322 turn left at end of ramp.
  • Go 7 miles to 6000W Rd. and turn left.
  • Go 2 ½ miles to camp entrance on left. If you reach Hwy 102 you have gone too far.
